Berkeley Heights Democrats to start 2011 campaign May 21st

Stephen Yellin, Jamie Divine-Cadavid to host free "Meet-and-Greet"

Berkeley Heights residents Stephen Yellin and Jamie Divine-Cadavid will officially start their campaign for Township Council on Saturday, May 21st.

Their campaign kickoff will start at 230pm at the pavilion in Columbia Park (behind Columbia Middle School), 345 Plainfield Avenue.

“We are excited to get our campaign for Council underway,” Yellin, a lifelong resident of Berkeley Heights stated. “Jamie and I want to meet as many residents as we can, to share with them our reasons for running and ask for their support in November.”

Although Yellin and Divine-Cadavid are unopposed for the Democratic Party nomination, Divine-Cadavid added, they are encouraging Democrats and Unaffiliated (Independent) voters to turn out and vote in the June 7th primary.

“We don’t want to be just names on a ballot,” she stated. “We want residents to have good reasons to vote for us on June 7th, and the kickoff is part of our effort to do just that.”
