On September 30th, I joined Fortune 500 high-tech company Fiserv CEO Frank Bisignano, Governor Phil Murphy, Senator Tom Kean, Assemblyman Jon Bramnick and Executive Director Tim Sullivan from the NJEDA, to welcome Fiserv to Berkeley Heights. The firm will relocate approximately 1,500 employees to 100 Connell building and create another 1,500 jobs over the next 24+ months. We are excited about the news that Fiserv will move their offices to our community, creating opportunities for high-tech jobs that our residents can take advantage of.
For those who may not be aware, Fiserv is a global provider of payments and financial services technology solutions. The company has been on the Fortune 500 the past six years, including a No. 205 ranking in 2021. Fiserv also has been on the Fortune list of the “World’s Most Admired Companies” for the past eight years.

The Council will hold a public hearing on the Township’s Community Benefit Agreement at the next Township Council meeting required by the State’s Emerge program that Fiserv has applied for and the NJEDA board has approved.
Fiserv will also contribute a nearly 20-foot tree to Veteran’s Memorial Park, previously used during the Christmas Tree lighting. The contribution includes the transport and planting of the tree to Berkeley Heights. We are truly gaining a community partner in Fiserv.
Our Mt. Laurel committee began meeting recently; this is the working group that will help to ensure that we are in the best position possible for the next round of affordable housing obligations. Our professionals believe the Township’s position is strong. We were able to bank on the progress that has been made with our current redevelopment projects, most of which were a part of the Judgement of Repose signed in 2017. The next round of obligations is 2025.
