This is Mayor Angie Devanney. I am calling to notify you that the mobile clinic scheduled for 12/27 in Berkeley Heights is cancelled. The County of Union can no longer provide Mobile Vaccination Clinics at this time. The demand for vaccines and the mandate from the State Department of Health to increase vaccines, has caused the need to halt mobile vaccine clinics and return to a stationary vaccine clinic.  

 Last next week, the County has opened vaccine operations 5 days a week at set locations. Stationary sites will allow the County to increase vaccinations to residents, maximize staff and ensure the delivery of services in the most clinically sound way. 

 The County of Union if offering vaccines and vaccine boosters at the Downs Hall facility at Kean University and several other locations. For more information, visit their website ucnjvaccine.org or call the hotline for assistance in making and managing appointments for our Union County residents. Call 908-613-7VAX (7829). The call center is open Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and closed major holidays.

 It is imperative that we all exercise caution during the holidays. Wear a mask, hand sanitize and socially distance when possible. Avoid larger indoor gatherings as Omicron has proven to be highly contagious and spreading quickly.
