"I adopted two rescue dogs from Home For Good in Berkeley Heights, a wonderful organization run by Toni Ann Turco. Last June, after putting my dog to sleep I didn’t make it a week without needing another pup. To me, a home is not a home without a dog.
Lucky for me, a beautiful Dachshund mix named Drew was up for adoption. He was 2 years old and apparently a street dog in South Carolina. We met and fell in love - we renamed him Boomer and he is quite a character! Only two months later it became apparent that we could not provide enough stimulation for Boomer and he needed a playmate.

This time Toni Ann had just rescued three Chihuahua mixes from a hoarding situation in South Carolina. I immediately made an appointment to meet Miranda. It was love at first sight - Boomer came with me to check out his potential playmate. The responsible staff at Home For Good let them play for a good 30 minutes before determining they would be a good match. We renamed her Coco and they have been best friends ever since.
They used to sleep in separate crates but now insist on sharing a bed even though they each have their own!"
