DOG OF THE WEEK - Help Layla Find Her Forever Home

This one-year-old Labrador/Shepard mix needs a home. Will it be yours?

Layla weighs about 40 pounds and is medium sized dog. She is a lab/shepherd mix who is about a year old. When Layla got pregnant, her owners abandoned her and her pups, and sent them to a high kill shelter in South Carolina. Luckily, volunteers from pulled her and her pups out of the shelter before they were euthanized.

She was a great mother and cared for her puppies the entire time. Layla is now in a foster home and waiting for her forever family. She is crate trained and walks very well on the leash! At the present time, she is being fostered with an alpha large Chow mix and a petite poodle mix. Layla does not have to be the pack leader and goes with the flow. She gets along with both dogs, shares her toys, and loves to chase a tennis ball.

Layla is very affectionate; she cuddles with her foster parents on the couch and gives them lots of kisses. She is a lovely lady who will give unconditional love to her new family.
