Do you tend to jump in at the first sign of difficulty and fix things for your teen/tween? Although it's done with love and good intentions, this 'take charge' involvement actually keeps your child from growing up and becoming responsible and independent.
So how do you know when to step in or step aside? And when it is appropriate to be involved, how can you help without doing it all for them? STEP IN OR STEP ASIDE is a workshop for parents that will help you confidently shift responsibility back where it belongs - with your child.
You will learn to determine how and when to take hold or let go of a situation. You'll be given strategies and tools that will help you to help your child be accountable, learn from consequences, problem-solve and set realistic goals.
