Fundraiser For Kenilworth Family Who Lost Home, 8 Pets In Fire
The fire engulfed a split-level home owned by former Union County Police Sgt. Scott Pentz and his family in Kenilworth in March.

KENILWORTH, NJ — A community is coming together to help a Kenilworth family and former Union County police officer who lost their home and eight pets in a fire in March.
The Union County Police PBA/SOA Local 73 is hosting a fundraiser on Thursday, April 25 at 6 p.m. for the Pentz family at the Kenilworth VFW, 33 South 21st St., in Kenilworth.
The fire broke out on March 22 and engulfed a split-level home owned by former Union County Police Sgt. Scott Pentz and his family in Kenilworth.

No one was home at the time of the fire, but the family's four rescue dogs, three rescue cats and their African Grey bird died in the fire.
A Scott Pentz Welfare Fund has been set up to help the family get back on their feet. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards the family.

Tickets are $25 to be paid at the door or checks payable to the Scott Pentz Welfare Fund. Food and drinks will be provided and there will be a 50/50 and raffle prizes.
