GL Highlander Boosters to Hold First Annual Spring Sports Classic Day
Sports teams take the stage next Saturday April 30 to raise funds for programs.

The first annual Spring Sports Classic Day sponsored by the Highlander Booster Club kicks off at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning, April 30th. An exciting full slate of spring games will showcase baseball, softball and lacrosse. Snack Shack will be open for business with breakfast, lunch and snacks served all day. All of these activities will be at Governor Livingston High School, 175 Watchung Ave., Berkeley Heights.
The day will be full of sporting events and many other activities. It is sure to be another fun-filled experience for fans of all ages. The morning games will start at 10:00 a.m. with Varsity and JV Softball vs. Linden and Girls Varsity Lacrosse vs. Newark Academy followed by Girls JV Lacrosse playing at 11:30 a.m. Noon games will bring Boys Varsity Lacrosse vs. Delaware Valley and Mountainside Youth Softball. The afternoon will continue with Boys JV Lacrosse at 1:30 p.m. and a First Round Union County Tournament Boys Varsity Baseball game with time and opponent to be announced.
The Highlander Booster Club welcomes back the Highlander Vendor Market. There will also be a wide variety of fun activities, breakfast, lunch, snacks, a beverage truck, ice cream treats and GL merchandise. As always we will be holding a giant 50/50 raffle which will be drawn at approximately 3:00 p.m. There will be a minimal admissions charge of $1.00 per child, $3.00 per adult with a maximum of $5.00 per family. Free admissions for any student wearing their school spirit clothes. Please note, there will be no rain date for this event.
