GL Varsity Lax Team Wins in Fourth Overtime

Despite their 4-9 record, the Gov. Livingston boys' lacrosse team always battles.

Such was the case again on Saturday as the Highlanders delivered a thrilling 9-8 victory over Oratory in the fourth overtime period in front of the home fans in Berkeley Heights.

GL's Andrew Bobcheck became the hero two-and-a-half minutes into the fourth OT when he put home the game-winning shot.

The game also saw Colin Lee and Michael Montalvo earn hat tricks in the win. Goaltender Zach Boyer recorded 21 saves for GL.

Summit was led by Andrew Kontra and Steve O'Loughlin, who each tallied three goals each apiece for Oratory, who fell to 8-3 on the season. 

The Hilltoppers will return to action Tuesday against Ridgewood at 4:30 pm on the road.
