Boys lacrosse falls in season opener, baseball team wins comeback thriller.

Gov. Livingston -- after falling behind 6-0 to neighboring New Providence -- tallied seven unanswered runs to win their season-opener 7-6 Saturday afternoon in Berkeley Heights.
The boys' lacrosse team didn't fare as well in their opening game, losing to Somerville 15-3 on Friday. Alex Lipnick, Nick Enright and Colin Lee tallied for the Highlanders.

Meanwhile, the girls' lacrosse team split their first two games, beating Scotch Plains 9-6 on Friday before falling to highly-rated Summit 18-2 on Saturday.
Nicole Bendush tallied a hat trick to lead the Lady Highlanders offensively, while Laura Nicholson recorded nine saves for Gov. Livingston in Berkeley Heights.
