The Patch boys' Athlete of the Week is John Jennings, who had two hits on opening day to lead GL past New Providence 7-6 after trailing 6-0. That victory put his team in position to win their first four games of the season.
The senior captain and shortstop led the inning off the bottom of the seventh with a double, then would strike again in that same inning with a two-out, three RBI walk-off triple to cap an improbable comeback.
