NEW PROVIDENCE/BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ — Here are the unofficial results of the 2017 Berkeley Heights Township Council, New Providence Township Council and school board.

Berkeley Heights:

In Berkeley Heights there were five candidates vying for two three-year seats on the township council.

Democrat Susan Poage got 1,867 votes and republican Jeanne Kingsley got 1,808 votes over democrat Alvaro Medeiros 1,758 votes and republicans John C. Sincaglia with 1,729 votes.

For the school board Gerard Crisonino received 1,437 votes and William J. Cassano got 1,648 votes, who were the only ones running for the two three-year term seats.

New Providence:

In New Providence there are four candidates vying for two three-year seats on the township council.

Incumbent Republican Robert T. Robinson received 2,146 votes and republican Nadine Geoffroy got 2,011 votes over democrats Jamie Baer Peterson 1,692 votes and Keith Doll with 1,558 votes.

For the school board three candidates were running for two, three-year seats. Ira W. Krauss, Mary B. Misiukiewicz and Brendan Rains.

Results are unofficial until certified by the Union County Clerk and do not include absentee ballots.
