Pioneers' Football: A Family Affair
While all New Providence players and coaches are a part of the unofficial family, football has been a way of life for Frank's immediate family. In part five of our seven-day video series, Coach Bottone's grandchildren, wife and nephew share their stories.
More than 200 people attended a retirement dinner for Head Football Coach on Friday, April 15 at Mayfair Farms in West Orange.
At the dinner, many individuals made remarks about Frank and his career at New Providence for 48 years, as well as his early years of coaching in Madison.
New Providence Patch met with Bottone's past and present players, coaches, family members and friends to learn more about the man behind the name, known by many both near and far.
While all of the players who have played under Coach Bottone are part of the unofficial family that is New Providence football, for Frank's immediate family, football has been a way of life.
In part five of our seven-day video series, we sit down with members of his family as they share their stories of growing up with New Providence football.
