NJ High School Consumer Bowl 2019 - Union County Competition
Governor Livingston stages a miraculous come-from-behind victory to win the Union County Competition for the 7th straight year!
Governor Livingston High School hosted The New Jersey High School Consumer Bowl 2019 competition for Union County on February 1, 2019. This year’s participants included students from Linden Academy, Newmark High School, and Governor Livingston High School.
Consumer Bowl is an educational competition for high school students across the state organized by the New Jersey's Office of the Attorney General, Division of Consumer Affairs. It was established in 1997 to educate young adults on a variety of consumer issues and is approved under the New Jersey Department of Education Professional Development Guidelines.
Congratulations to Ann Xu, Christopher Rampaul-Pino, Pranav Casula, Niloy Choudhuri, and Rachel Stuart (representing Governor Livingston High School) for winning this year's 2019 Union County competition .
This year’s Governor Livingston team staged a miraculous come-from-behind victory. Down by 25 points with three 10 point questions remaining, Governor Livingston ran the table by answering the final three questions correctly to edge Newmark High School by 5 points for the victory. This is the seventh year in a row that Governor Livingston has won the Union County competition.
This win advances Governor Livingston High School to compete in the Central Regional Competition held on April 10, 2019 at the Monmouth County Fire Academy in East Freehold, NJ.
