• Verizon Service Issues Hit New Providence, Temporary Tower Planned (patch.com) — Residents in New Providence are dealing with weaker Verizon cell service after an antenna was removed from 121 Chanin Road, especially around Floral Avenue. To stabilize coverage, Verizon plans to deploy a temporary Cell on Wheels along Central Avenue within one to two weeks, keeping it in place for six to eight months while a permanent fix is developed in coordination with the borough.
   

• Kearney signals support for Palmieri-Mouded Senate bid (newjerseyglobe.com) — New Providence residents could see a reshaped legislative ticket as Assemblyman Vinnie Kearney signals strong support for Union County Commissioner Kimberly Palmieri-Mouded to challenge Sen. Jon Bramnick. The emerging 21st District battle follows Democrats Kearney and Andrew Macurdy unseating Republican Assemblywoman Michele Matsikoudis of New Providence last year, making the district a prime Democratic pickup target.
