7-Eleven Public Hearing Postponed—Again—in New Providence
An area developer has applied for permission to construct a 7-Eleven next to Barth's Pork Store.

The New Providence Planning Board has again delayed a planned public hearing on a proposal to bring 7-Eleven to South Street, according to the Independent Press.
An application was set to be discussed Thursday evening. The meeting went on as scheduled, but the board opted to put off discussion this project. No new date for a public hearing has been set.
Seyfo Hawi Realty is the developer for the plan and seeks preliminary and final major site plan approval and minor subdivision approval to put a branch of the national convenience store chain next to Barth’s Pork Store in the parking lot of the bank.
Another 7-Eleven in the area is also proposed, according to Berkeley Heights Mayor Joseph Bruno: This one would be placed near the Berkeley Heights Shopping Center on Springfield Avenue, at the site of what once was a Krauszer’s convenience store.
