Berkeley Heights Relay for Life Team Hosts Smoothie Fundraiser

The Warriors Team Hosted a Holiday Sip and Shop Event to Support the American Cancer Society

On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, The Warriors team from Relay for Life of Berkeley Heights hosted a "Sip and Shop" Fundraiser at Smoothie King of Summit to benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS).

In addition to Smoothie King, local organizations, including Sustainable Berkeley Heights, Denise Daunt of Stella & Dot, Stephanie Skidmore of Mary Kay, Cathy Maloney of Arbonne, and Noah Hickman of Custom Creations, all participated in this festive event. Each organization donated a portion of their sales from the evening to ACS.

The event was open to the general public. To gain admission to the event, all people had to do was purchase a delicious, healthy smoothie at Smoothie King. Then, with smoothie in hand, they could proceed to get some holiday shopping done while they sipped away. Something for everyone was available for purchase - from jewelry, cosmetics, and botanically-based beauty, health, and wellness products to reusable fruit and vegetable bags to custom-designed, original pieces.

This was one of the first fundraisers The Warriors hosted the 2019 - 2020 "Relay" year. The team's goal is to raise $5,000 prior to the actual Relay event, which will be held at New Providence High School, 35 Pioneer Drive in New Providence, on Saturday, June 13, 2020.
