• Booker, Kim Introduce Legislation to Rename Sussex County VA Clinic After New Jersey Veteran Tony Gallopo (senate.gov) — Federal lawmakers are moving to rename the VA clinic in Newton after the late Navy veteran and local American Legion leader Anthony “Tony” Gallopo, who helped bring the facility to town. The bipartisan legislation highlights his decades of service to veterans and would permanently link his name to the care provided at the Newton clinic. 
• The Machine performs Pink Floyd at The Newton Theatre on September 5th (newjerseystage.com) — A long-running Pink Floyd tribute band, The Machine, is bringing its elaborate light show and deep-cut setlist to The Newton Theatre on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 8 p.m. in downtown Newton.
