We are excited to announce that on Monday, October 5, 2026, Bergen County CASA will host&nbsp;our&nbsp;<a href="https://casagolf2026.givesmart.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Sixth&nbsp;Annual “FORE” the Kids Golf&nbsp;Classic</a>&nbsp;at&nbsp;the renowned Montammy Golf Club honoring Michael and Toni Ann Edwards!
Spend a day on the course while making a difference in the lives of children in foster care throughout Bergen County. Because every child deserves a fair shot.
This fun-filled day brings together our community of supporters to raise critical funds for the children we serve—abused and neglected youth in Bergen County’s foster care system. Please consider joining us as a sponsor, golfer, or dinner guest. We would love to see you there!

Your participation helps ensure that every foster child in Bergen County has a consistent, caring, and trained advocate by their side. Bergen County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is the only nonprofit in the county that recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers to advocate for children in the foster care system. These Advocates visit regularly, monitor well-being, and advocate in court for children’s medical, educational, and emotional needs—helping them heal and thrive.

Extra Mile Basketball NJ

Extra Mile Basketball NJ is an elite youth basketball training program based in Lyndhurst, NJ, serving athletes ages 7–18 across Bergen, Essex, and Hudson County. We specialize in small-group and private performance training led by Coach James, an internationally experienced basketball coach with 17 years of experience and over 2,000 athletes trained across three continents. Our program develops the complete player — ball handling, shooting, footwork, defense, basketball IQ, leadership, and mental toughness. We train athletes across three age groups: Grades 2–5 (Ages 7–10), Grades 6–8 (Ages 11–13), and Grades 9–12 (Ages 14–18). We offer flexible weekly training packages designed to accommodate different schedules and budgets — from a single drop-in session to a full monthly commitment. All skill levels are welcome, but athletes must come ready to work. Extra Mile Basketball is not for everyone. Our Summer Camp 2026 is now open for registration. Packages start at $85 for 1 day up to $375 for the full 5-day experience, with 2 hours of high-intensity performance training per session.
