Meerwald sailing off North Cape May’s Delaware Bayshore, and now the historic tall ship needs community help to replace its aging keel. A major restoration is planned for late 2026–2027, and organizers are seeking donations and memberships to keep this floating classroom and piece of maritime history sailing safely for years to come. 
• Tornado touched down at Cape May Point beach on Tuesday, NWS says (nbcphiladelphia.com) — A North Cape May resident captured video of a waterspout that became an EF-0 tornado when it came ashore at Cape May Point beach during Tuesday evening’s storms. The brief twister, confirmed by the National Weather Service, caused minor tree damage along several nearby streets but no serious injuries or major structural damage were reported.
