UPDATE: Man Severely Burned In 3-Alarm N.J. House Fire
Crews were responding to a three-alarm house fire in New Jersey Thursday.

A man was severely burned in a three-alarm house fire in Oakland Thursday, officials said.
The man was taken to St. Barnabas Medical Center with third- and second-degree burns, and his status was unknown at press time, according to The Record.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the Oakland blaze because of the injury, and the fire's severity, according to The Record.

The blaze was reported around 5:55 a.m. at 28 Ryerson St. Three people, including the man, were in the ranch home but two got out, according to the reports.
Firefighters extinguished the fire within 15 minutes. About 40 firefighters from Oakland, Franklin Lakes, Mahwah and Wyckoff responded, according to the reports.
