Emaciated North Jersey Dog Abused With Staple Gun Gives Birth To 8 Puppies
"Everly" had a blood transfusion and continues to improve since being brought to the shelter. She could barely lift her head up last week.
OAKLAND, NJ — The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge is asking for help after an abused pit bull delivered 8 puppies.
Everley was recently rescued by a local shelter, pregnant and emaciated.
She had a wound on her belly that had been stapled shut by someone. The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Shelter stepped in and helped. The no-kill shelter brought the dedicated mother was brought to Pets Aloud Veterinary Hospital.

The shelter said that Everley has began to eat and was continued to stay with her puppies, but one of them died.
The cost of caring for Everley is expensive and the shelter is asking for donations to the Betty Lou Medical Fund.
