On Thursday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m., historians Henry Bischoff and Mitchell Kahn, retired professors from Ramapo College and the authors of “From Pioneer Settlement to Suburb: A History of Mahwah, New Jersey, 1700-1976” will present a lecture entitled “History of The Neighborhoods of Mahwah.” The lecture will be held at the Ramapo Reformed Church, 100 Island Road. Admission to the lecture is $3 for non-members, museum members are free.
The lecture will give further insight into Mahwah Museum’s current exhibit on the distinct sections of our town – Fardale, the Depot, East and West Mahwah, Masonicus, Stage Hill and the Mountains, and the corridor of Route 17. The Mahwah Museum is open on Wednesdays and weekends from 1-4 p.m. and is featuring the exhibit “Neighborhoodsof Mahwah: 1913-2013” and “Les Paul in Mahwah.” The Donald Cooper ModelRailroad is open weekends from 1-4 p.m. Admission to the Museum is $5 for non-members, and free to members and children.
