OAKLAND, N.J. — The borough's annual Independence Day fireworks celebration will be Saturday at the recreation complex.
The annual carnival began Wednesday night and will run through Saturday, ending with the fireworks show. The show will begin when it is completely dark, said Mike Guadagnino, chairman of the Oakland Recreation Commission.
Attendees should arrive early Saturday or park at the Copper Tree Mall, behind the post office. The borough will offer free shuttle bus rides to and from the carnival.
