72 Guardian Angels Honored At Shore Medical Center
The Guardian Angels are Shore Medical Center employees who provided exceptional care to their patients.

SOMERS POINT, NJ — Shore Medical Center held its annual Guardian Angel Pinning Ceremony, the first in-person ceremony since before the pandemic, on Dec. 8, honoring 72 Shore employees.
The employees honored provided "exceptional care" to their patients, Shore said in a news release. The program enables grateful patients to honor a Shore caregiver with a donation in their honor.
Shore's Guardian Angels are honored throughout the year in smaller, individual ceremonies, where they receive a certificate and hear the patient's words about the difference they make.

But the December ceremony brings together all of the Guardian Angels, where their family, friends, colleagues and even the patients who nominated them can celebrate together.
Mary McGuckin, Lightkeeper's Society Manager with Shore's Planned Giving and Development Department, manages the program and coordinates the Guardian Angel Pinning Ceremony.

"Guardian Angel donations from our grateful patients and families not only support the medical center but also shine a spotlight on the exceptional caregivers at Shore. Guardian Angels are an example for their peers, and these Guardian Angel donations emphasize our commitment to patient-centered care," said McGuckin.
During the ceremony, McGuckin called each Guardian Angel to receive their custom-designed Guardian Angel pin, which they can proudly wear on their badge as a symbol of the difference they make. Shore Chief Nursing Officer Holly Badali presented each pin.
