Baby Parade, Pamper Scamper Come to Ocean City Next Week
The Pamper Scamper is Aug. 12, followed by the Baby Parade on Aug. 14.

The babies will take center stage in Ocean City next week.
First up is the Pamper Scamper for ages up to 15 months at the 6th Street Beach Aug. 12. Registration is at 9 a.m., with race beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Note: Babies who stand up and walk are applauded then disqualified.

The 105th annual Baby Parade takes place Aug. 14, 5 p.m. The parade route is from 6th Street to 12th Street on the Boardwalk.

It is the oldest continuously run event of its kind in the country. Past grand marshals include baseball immortal Joe DiMaggio. Princess Grace Kelly also appeared in the parade and was known to enjoy the event.
The parade is open to children from infants to 10 years of age. Contestants can register at the Music Pier Information Center at Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. Information hours are Sunday through Thurs. 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to11p.m.
