Three Days of Community Events for June 19th

Historic Macedonia Baptist Church of Cape May, NJ invites you, your family and friends to their Juneteenth Freedom Day (June 19) which begins on Thursday, June 18th at 10 am and finishes on Saturday, June 20th at 3 pm. 

Thursday, June 18th at 10 am is the "New Jersey Black Heritage Trail Marker Unveiling" at Historic Macedonia Baptist Church. It is located at 630 Lafayette Street. A short program and refreshments will follow in fellowship hall. 

Friday, June 19th beginning at 12 (Noon) will be the Juneteenth Freedom Walk. This will begin at Cape May City Nature Trail, Lafayette Street. It is next to the Cape May City Elementary School Playground. The walk will include 2 (two) New Jersey Black History Marker Sites and return to the Historic Macedonia Baptist Church. Refreshments will be available. A Registration Donation of $10 for Complimentary Water bottles and wrist bands.

Saturday, June 20th from 11 am -12 pm is the Juneteenth Community Program at Historic Macedonia Baptist at 630 Lafayette Street in Cape May. The program includes Rev. Douglass Moore, history of what Juneteenth is about, a skit provided by the youth, and of course interpretive Dance and Music.

Other activities from 12 (Noon) till 3 pm includes Vendors for food, Art, Photography, crafts for children, a bouncy house, face painting, Ice Cream and Desserts.
