Cape Tech To Open Summer Adventures Registration

Cape Tech will offer 12 summer programs for ages 9 to 14, with classes running on two weeks in late July and early August.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ — Cape May County children ages 9 through 14 will again have a slate of summer programs to choose from at Cape May County Technical School District, with registration opening Wednesday, April 15, according to information released by Cape Tech.

The district said its Summertime Adventures program will be held on the Cape Tech campus and will run Monday through Thursday from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cape Tech said certified staff members teach the courses and that class sizes are limited, with spots expected to fill quickly.

The program is scheduled in two sessions. Week 1 runs from July 27 through July 30, and Week 2 runs from August 3 through August 6, according to the district. Cape Tech said the courses are tailored to specific age levels and are designed to offer creative, educational experiences for participants.

There are 12 different Adventures available, with prices ranging from $165 to $195 per Adventure, according to Cape Tech. The district described the program as an affordable option for families looking for summer activities.

Week 1 offerings are Camp Carpentry, Camp Cosmetology, Creative Sketching, Crime Scene Investigation, Esports, Junior Mechanics, TV Behind the Scenes, Exploratory Career Camp and Sweet Treats Baking Camp. Week 2 offerings are Camp Carpentry, Camp Cosmetology, Creative Sketching, Crime Scene Investigation, Esports, Junior Mechanics, TV Behind the Scenes, Fun with Foods, STEM Robots and Vets in Training.

The lineup includes both hands-on and career-themed options, with some courses offered in both weeks and others limited to one session. Cape Tech said the Adventures are designed for youth ages 9 through 14 and are organized by age level.

Families interested in signing up can find program details and registration information at capemaytech.com/community/summertime-adventures/. With registration opening April 15 and space limited in each class, early sign-ups are recommended, according to the district.
