Celebrate The Life Of Martin Luther King Jr. In Ocean City
A citywide cleanup will be held as part of a national day of service, followed by a ceremony honoring two Ocean City citizens.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City is set to honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a day of events on Jan. 16.
A nationwide day of service kicks off the events as residents are asked to volunteer in honor of King's contributions.
A citywide cleanup will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sign-up and supply distribution will take place at the Howard S. Stainton Senior Center, located in the Community Center, 18th Street and Simpson Avenue. To pre-register, please call 609-399-6111, ext. 9711.

This is followed by the 12 p.m. ceremony at Music Pier.

It will be followed by a complimentary soul food buffet luncheon in the Music Pier solarium.
Free parking will be available in the municipal lots on Moorlyn Terrace, Eighth Street and Ninth Street.
