Comcast to Remain in Ocean City: Mayor Gillian
Mayor Jay Gillian discussed this and other topics in his weekly address.

Ocean City, NJ -- Comcast will not close its customer service center in Ocean City at the end of the month as previously stated, Mayor Jay Gillian said Friday evening.
“The company had announced recently that it planned to shut down its Ocean City location and open a regional service center in Mays Landing,” Gillian said in his weekly address posted on the City’s website. “I’m now optimistic that Comcast will remain in town at least through the summer season. I have always felt that having a Comcast office in town is incredibly important to our many guests, residents, and business owners who rely on their products. My administration has made every effort to make accommodations to keep Comcast in town following Superstorm Sandy. As we receive more information, I will share it with all of you.”
Gillian also spoke about Ocean City Public Relations Director Mark Soifer’s decision to retire after 45 years, as well as the town hall meeting with Michael Baker International on March 30.
