OCEAN CITY, NJ — Corson's Inlet State Park quietly reopened. Officials closed the beach May 2, less than a day after New Jersey state parks reopened.

There was no formal announcement regarding Corson's Inlet's reopening. But the beach reopened last weekend, according to Larry Hajna, a New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection spokesperson.

The opening coincided with Ocean City also allowing people back on its beaches last weekend. Ocean City will allow more activities on its beaches beginning Saturday. Read more: Ocean City To Allow More Beach Activities Saturday
