On Sept 18th with a 5:30 pm kick off, the Ocean City Nor'easters will play a soccer game against school teachers, and local figures at TENNESSEE AVENUE fields to benefit the Betsy Young Scholarship. For a small cost of $4 for adults and $2 for children under 12, the whole family can enjoy a great night out. There will be snacks, prizes and an interactive half time show. All the money raised will go to the scholarship.
Betsy was a teacher at the Ocean City Intermediate School for 13 years. In August, she passed after having Glioblastoma, a brain tumor. To honor her, a scholarship will be created in her name through the Ocean City Schools.
