Family Loses 'Everything' In Early Morning Ocean City House Fire
The family was unharmed, but lost everything in the fire. A GoFundMe has been established to help them get back on their feet.

OCEAN CITY, NJ â The community is rallying around a local Ocean City family who lost everything in a house fire.
No one was injured in the early morning fire at 1912 Ferndale Road on Oct. 18, but the house suffered extensive damage. Firefighters responded shortly before 6:30 a.m., according to a city news release.
Firefighters reported heavy fire conditions on all floors of the rear side of a two-and-a-half-story home with extension to the attic area, according to the release.

All of the residents got out safely, the release said, and the family dog was rescued by the Ocean City Fire Department. One firefighter received a minor injury that did not require immediate medical attention.
OCFD crews entered two neighboring houses that were considered fire exposure hazards and completed primary and secondary searches. The buildings were protected with the use of multiple water lines and suffered limited heat damage.

"The Fire Department was successful in extinguishing the fire and containing it to the building of origin. A full fire department recall of all off duty members was initiated to assist with the fire and to provide backup for potential other emergency calls," the release said.
Three engines, two ambulances and one truck responded from OCFD. Mutual aid assistance was provided by Marmora Volunteer Fire Company, Somers Point Volunteer Fire Company, Margate Fire Department (Rapid Intervention Team) and the New Jersey State Fire Marshalâs Office, according to the release.
A GoFundMe was started to help the Bogdan family and their three young children, ranging from 8-years-old to 5 months, as try to start over. As of Wednesday afternoon, the fundraiser had already reached its $10,000 goal.
"They will need to slowly replace everything and we would like to help in any way possible," the GoFundMe organizer wrote.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation.
"We are hoping the community can rally behind them during this difficult time to get them back on their feet," the GoFundMe reads.
