Here's When ACE Will Begin Installing Reclosers In Ocean City
Atlantic City Electric will begin installing special equipment to reduce the number of customers affected by power outages Jan. 14.

OCEAN CITY, NJ - Atlantic City Electric has announced its schedule for the first round of recloser installation in Ocean City. The special equipment is being installed to reduce the number of customers affected by power outages in Ocean City.
Earlier this week, the electric company announced that reclosers would be installed for areas serving every 500 customers or fewer, so when an outage occurs outside of a substation area, fewer homes and businesses will be impacted.
For example, instead of having a couple of thousand customers without power because of a pole accident, 500 or fewer customers will be affected until repairs are made.
