A search warrant was executed for Dongas’s phone records, which placed him at the scene on the day and time that Humpty Dumpty was damaged, according to police.
On Jan. 19, at the advice of his attorney, Dongas turned himself in to Cape May police. He was processed and released on a summons pending court proceedings.
Dongas was charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespass.
