More Acts Revealed For Summer Music Series At Ocean City Music Pier

The pre-sales begin Thursday morning.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The next two acts in this summer’s concert series at the Ocean City Music Pier have been revealed.

Graham Nash will perform a solo show on July 24, and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will play on June 9, BRE Presents announced on Tuesday.

Nash’s voice was a big part of the Hollies, then Crosby, Stills, Nash (and sometimes Young). He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of both groups.

New Orleans trombone and trumpet player Troy Andrews (“Trombone Shorty”) leads an upbeat band that has been a big hit in past Music Pier shows.

Tickets for both shows are between $49 and $59 before service charges and will go on sale Friday, Feb. 24, at www.ticketmaster.com. Pre-sales for both shows begin at 10 a.m. Thursday (use code BRE).

Tickets also are on sale for the first six shows announced in the 2017 Summer Concert Series on the Ocean City Music Pier:
· Dave Mason (June 19) Tickets
· The Temptations (June 26) Tickets
· Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes (July 10) Tickets
· The Hooters (July 17 and 18) Tickets
· Shawn Colvin with opening act Joan Osborne (July 31) Tickets
· The Beach Boys (August 21 and 22) Tickets

Mason is a veteran of the former band Traffic (with hits like “Feelin’ Alright”), who went on to have a successful solo career (remember “We Just Disagree”).

Southside Johnny has been a favorite on the Jersey Shore music scene since the 1970s and has often been joined on stage by Bruce Springsteen.

The Temptations have a catalog of more than 25 Top 20 hits and they’ve been performing live for more than 50 years.

The Hooters will bring back a lot of memories for the folks who caught the Philadelphia-based band’s live shows on the Jersey Shore or listened to WMMR-FM in the 1980s. The band will reprise big hits like “All You Zombies,” “And We Danced” and “Day by Day,” and they’ll introduce newer material as well.

The Beach Boys have played to sold-out crowds on the Ocean City Music Pier for the past two summers, and they’re making good on a promise to keep returning.

Colvin won a Song of the Year Grammy Award in 1998 with “Sunny Came Home,” and her songwriting career has spanned more than three decades.
