Ocean City Business Partners Open Boardwalk Ben & Jerry's

OCEAN CITY, N.J. — The Ocean City Boardwalk will soon get a little more "peace, love, & ice cream." Ben & Jerry's is set to open in May at 1078 Boardwalk.

Liberty Entertainment USA, the group who bought the franchise, already owns two businesses on the boardwalk: Liberty Escape Rooms and Liberty Virtual Reality.

"In our search, we really felt like Ben & Jerry's was the perfect fit," said Justice Volz, who is part of Liberty Entertainment USA. "They're a family-friendly business ... with a great atmosphere."

The Ocean City location hopes for a May 3 soft opening with a grand opening scheduled for May 25. Volz expects the shop to shop to be open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. from mid-June to Labor Day, with longer hours leading up to mid-June. They are currently installing equipment.
