Ocean City Council Considers Vacating Land For Redevelopment Project
The vacancy would impact a 17.25 foot wide piece of land adjacent to a proposed mixed use project at the former Dan's Dock and Seafood.

Ocean City, NJ -- Ocean City Council took a step to help a redevelopment project on 10th Street get underway on Thursday, Aug. 11.
Council approved a proposed ordinance on introduction that calls for the vacancy of a 17.25 foot wide portion of 10th street next to the site of a redevelopment project at the former Dan’s Dock and Seafood building.
Bayfront Preservation Foundation proposes building a three-story mixed residential and commercial complex on the site.
The vacancy in part consolidates the existing docks and lines them up with the new docks that will be part of the project, according to City Solicitor Dorothy McCrosson.

She also clarified this vacancy is on a strip of land that adjoins the property, and nothing will actually be built on the land under consideration as part of the ordinance.
The proposal for the mixed-use building was approved by the Planning Board in the spring.
