Ocean City Has 3 New Positive Coronavirus Cases

Cape May County has reported 99 total positive cases as of Monday night.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Cape May County Health Department reported an increase of three novel-coronavirus in the past two days for Ocean City. The city has five active cases as of Monday night.

Officials reported 30 new cases in the county since Saturday. The County has logged 99 cases as of Monday night.

Governor Phil Murphy announced 3,663 new cases and 86 more deaths Monday. Murphy noted a decline in the growth rate in cases — from 24 percent day-over-day last Monday to 12 percent this Monday. "The curve is flattening," Murphy said. "But, this is no time to spike any footballs or to take our foot off the gas. We still have a week-and-a-half to go, at least, until we hit the peak. This isn't over — not by a long shot."

Cape May County also set up a new drive-thru testing site. Officials will only disclose the location to people approved for testing because of confidentiality.

The site is only open for CompleteCare patients and county residents sick with a fever, cough and shortness of breath that meet a certain criteria.
