Ocean City High School Football Team Shut Out in Second Straight Loss

After opening the season with a win over Absegami, the Ocean City High School football team has now dropped two straight games.

Mainland pitched a shutout of the Red Raiders, 26-0, Friday night, according to nj.com.

Ryan Swenson’s 35-yard interception return for a score highlighted a strong defensive effort for the Mustangs, who also scored on a safety. Mainland’s offense found the end zone twice, and a Michael Juliano field goal rounded out the scoring.

The Red Raiders opened the season with a 19-12 win over Absegami two weeks ago, but dropped a 26-14 decision to Vineland last week.
