Ocean City High School Girls Swim Team Advances to State Final

The Red Raiders defeated Manasquan in the state semifinals on Tuesday.

The Ocean City High School girls swim team has a shot at winning a state championship this weekend.

The second-seeded Red Raiders defeated No. 3 Manasquan, 101-69, in the semifinals on Tuesday at Gloucester Tech in Sewell to advance to the NJSIAA Public B State final, according to nj.com. Ocean City will face top-seeded Chatham for the state title on Saturday at The College of New Jersey.

Amanda Nunan won the 200-yard freestyle in one minute, 51.93 seconds. She won the 100 freestyle in 52.31 seconds.

Amber Glenn won the 200 IM in 2:07.37 and the 500 freestyle in 5:03.81.

They both participated in the winning 200 freestyle relay (1:38.53) and the winning 400 freestyle relay (3:44.83).

The Red Raiders held Manasquan to just one victory.

Ocean City advanced to the state tournament after capturing its third consecutive sectional title with a 97-73 win over Moorestown.

Before that, the Red Raiders picked up a 104-66 win over No. 4 Clearview in the South Jersey Public B semifinals.
