All proceeds benefit the Amercian Sign Language club at the high school, which will meet and learn about Shaffer in an assembly about Deaf Visual Image Art, often shortened to De’Via Artn earlier in the day. Shaffer will speak to the students about where she finds inspiration for her work.

According to Ocean City High School American Sign Language teacher Amy Andersen, the proceeds from the Painting Party will support scholarships for seniors who are studying American Sign Language, and who plan to continue on in the subject.
