OCEAN CITY, NJ — An Ocean City lifeguard was charged with exposing himself to a female at the beach while he was working, according to the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office. Chrisopher Denn — also a teacher at Mainland Regional High School — fondled himself in front of the female without her consent, officials said.

Denn, 48, was charged Aug. 9 with criminal sexual contact and a lewd act, according to the CMCPO. The age of the victim was not provided. The victim, who was Denn's friend, reported to his coworkers that Denn exposed his privates to her at 2 p.m. on the Surf Road Beach in a lifeguard stand, with 300-500 beachgoers present, the CMCPO said.

Mainland was notified of the incident, according to The Press of Atlantic City. Mainland Regional school board President Jill Ojserkis told the Press she could not say whether he was placed on leave.
