Ocean City Meetings On Public Safety Building Plan, Flooding
Ocean City will hold meetings on plans for the new building and flood mitigation in the next month.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City will hold two town-hall meetings on preliminary plans for a new public safety building and on bayside dredging and flood mitigation.
The meeting about the new public safety building will take place at 10 a.m. Oct. 24 at the Ocean City Tabernacle (550 Wesley Ave.). The current Public Safety Building dates to 1884.
A separate meeting for updated information on bayside dredging plans and road, drainage and flooding mitigation will occur at 10 a.m. Nov. 7 in the Tabernacle.

Officials will provide more more information on both meetings as they get closer. Presentations and meeting video will be available for those who can't attend.
The city will also hold a town-hall meeting to discuss plans for open space at the former car dealership property. Officials will announce details once they finalize the acquisition. City officials have negotiated for several years a purchase of the land — made up the block between 16th and 17th streets and Haven and Simpson avenues.
