Ocean City Named New Jersey's Top Place To Be Single

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City is designed for family fun, but apparently it's also great if you're ready to mingle. Data compiler 24/7 Tempo named it New Jersey's best city to be single.

24/7 Tempo reviewed data of the percentage of adults who are single, the concentration of businesses such as restaurants and bars and income levels. The best cities for singles have a large number of unattached people, feature plenty of activities for social interaction and sports a local economy conducive to financial independence.

The website found there were more than 160 million single Americans, according to population data. According to their data, 45.4 percent of Ocean City is single.

You can't exactly ask someone out for a drink in the dry town. But the town features plenty of potential activities for dates, especially during summer — restaurants, bike riding, water activities, amusement parks or a stroll down the boardwalk.
