Ocean City Seeks Fifth Straight 'Favorite Beach' Title

Voting is now open in New Jersey Sea Consortium's "New Jersey's Favorite Beach" contest for 2018.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City’s looking to make it five in a row. Voting is open in New Jersey Sea Consortium’s “New Jersey’s Favorite Beach” poll.

Beaches are broken down by county. Ocean City is included in the Cape May County list, with other categories including Atlantic, Ocean and Monmouth counties.

New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium announces the overall winners, and the top five beaches in each county. The winner is announced just before Independence Day.

Ocean City has won the award four years in a row. Ocean City's other accolades recently have included New Jersey Monthly's Shore Town Showdown; Coastal Living America's inaugural Best Beach Bracket; “Best Beach” in the 2016 Philly.com Readers' Choice Awards; and countless other contests recognizing the resort's boardwalk, downtown, ecotourism, family destinations, women-owned businesses and more.
