Ocean City Test Scores Exceed State, National Averages; Attendance Falls Just Short of State Goals

The school district reviewed its report card at the last Board of Education meeting, according to the Ocean City Gazette.

Despite an increase, the Ocean City School District fell just short of the state goal for attendance in the annual state report card, the Ocean City Gazette reports.

The state goal is 96 percent, and the school district had an attendance rate of 94.6 percent. The state has said it may tie funding to attendance, according to the report.

However, this was one negative on a report card full of positives reviewed at the Oct. 15 Board of Education meeting, according to the report.
