Male Pedestrian Dies In Ocean City Accident: Police

Friday's accident killed a 47-year-old man from Lansdale, Pennsylvania, police said.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — One of the two pedestrians struck by a vehicle Friday in Ocean City has died, police announced Monday. The crash killed a 47-year-old man from Lansdale, Pennsylvania, according to Ocean City police.

The second pedestrian, a 40-year-old woman, was treated for injuries and released from the hospital, police said. The driver, who remained on the scene, has not been charged at this time. Nobody involved in the accident was identified.

The vehicle collided with the man and woman when the driver — traveling westbound on 8th Avenue — navigated a left turn southbound onto Bay Avenue, police said. The male pedestrian was transported by helicopter to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. The female pedestrian was transported via ambulance.
