Police Investigating Use of Counterfeit Money

The Ocean City Police Department received three reports of counterfeit money being passed to merchants on the Boardwalk between 1:45 p.m. and 3:19 p.m. on July 7.

The Ocean City Police Department received three reports of counterfeit money being passed to merchants on the Boardwalk between 1:45 p.m. and 3:19 p.m. on July 7.

All three reports involved a white male attempting to make small purchases with counterfeit $50 bills. The first incident occurred in the 100o block of the boardwalk. The next two incidents were reported from the 600 block. The police were able to notify all boardwalk and downtown merchants immediately.
