Ocean City Schools Announce Decision On Closing Ahead Of Winter Storm

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Ocean City School District will be closed on Tuesday due to a Coastal Storm expected to hit the region Monday night into Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, city officials announced a change in this week's trash collection schedule.

City officials announced the following schedule for the rest of the week on Monday afternoon:

• Tuesday (March 14): NO COLLECTION
• Wednesday (March 15): South side of 17th Street to north side of 34th Street (which is Tuesday's regular collection)
• Thursday (March 16): South side of 9th Street to north side of 17th Street AND south side of 3rd Street to north side of 9th Street. (which is Wednesday's and Thursday's regular collection)
• Friday (March 17): Longport Bridge to north side of 3rd Street (regularly scheduled Friday collection)
